Great video mate! Just a quick question, if we are using gear puller to remove the crank pulley. Should we insert the puller jaws into the small 3 holes cut into the gear pulley or put the jaws to the outer circumference of the pulley?

I have done that. Then, I take a small punch and with a small hammer, I give the wide, open area ahead of the ball a whack--just like you would when using a nail set. This further traps the ball and holds it against the narrow end of it's enclosure. BTW, Elmer's glue does a great job holding the wrap's frayed end together. Since it is water-based, it does not burn.

Ive got a MK3 with a chevy V8. Firm front end and soft rear, standard single leafs and 9" rear drums. I have a standard atlas with 5 stud half shafts. It eats bearings! I was told it was the poor quality of bearings as SKF ones are hard to find?? But you can get them for english banjo type axles??

I put the bearing and collar in plastic bag then leave the bearing in hot water to give slight expansion before tapping on the half shaft Good video

Thanks for the video. I have experience rebuilding and adjusting steering gear boxes but will use this to send to people to explain why they need adjustments after many miles of use. However, I would recommend that after adjusting as much play as possible from the screw adjustment, you should raise both front wheels off the ground and spin the steering wheel lock to lock to check for binding. If a tight spot is detected, loosen the adjusting screw just enough to eliminate the binding. The steering wheel should turn smoothly with just the force of one finger. It's better to check for binding before taking it out on the road.

Quick question I see a lot of Picture's of Webber Carburetors where the Trumpets have no Filters fitted as is the case on this One,doesn't this allow dirt and dust enter the Carburetors?and cause blockages to the Jets.

I would wet the wrap whenever working with them or in an area where there is a risk you could touch them otherwise there is a risk of tiny needles thrown into the air. if they are wet the dust is less likely to get airborne.

I have Ford Focus 2007 model running on petrol and check engine lights have been a problem for a while now and it says EGR system flow fault, it might take more time and cost to order a new EGR and replace so I am planning on deleting or blocking the EGR but still unsure about it. do you recommend of using blocker plate for the solution?
